Hi there,

When animating the load increments of non-linear stability analysis, is it possible to have a results display which shows the Von Mises surface stresses in combination with the developing deformations? In other words, can you animate the Von Mises stresses with the deflected shape to see how the development of stresses informs the deflected shape of the structure?

Hi Declan\_Staunton,

if I understand you correctly, you’d like the von Mises stresses (bottom) displayed on the deformed structure (top) in a single view, and then animated over the load increments.

Unfortunately, that combined display isn’t possible at the moment. The stresses can only be shown on the undeformed structure, while the deformations are shown on their own. Both results can be animated over the load increments, but only separately.

Best regards
Florian

Thanks for confirming Florian, saves me going down a rabbit hole trying to find a feature that hasn't yet been implemented.
