I need to calculate the average stress over a specific area. I considered using the Surface Results Adjustments feature, but the outcome isn’t satisfactory.
How can I display the average von Mises stress in that area?
kind regards

Hi ylesle,
thanks for your message!
To analyse the problem more precisely, the model file would be very helpful:
Click on File → Save as and choose the following settings to reduce the file size:
Then upload the file here (e.g. *.rf6, *.rs9) – this way, the community can also contribute to the solution.
Prefer not to share the file publicly? No problem – send it to me via direct message: click on my profile picture or user name → Message.
Best regards

Hi, thank you for reaching out. For the sake of simplicity, I created a very simple model (see attached). It’s a 2 m × 2 m square with a 0.5 m × 0.5 m grid using “Surface Results Adjustment”:
Average stress test.rf6 (1,1 Mo)
kind regards,
Thank you for the file. It is about the FE-Mesh somehow. If you reduce the FE-Mesh size to 50mm, all looks good. I have no idea why the 100mm does not work. I will forward this issue to the programmer.
The problem has been optimized and the smoothing now also works with 100mm FE mesh.
