Dear Sir or Madam,
As part of my thesis, I am dealing with the topic "Punching of reinforced concrete components" and am particularly investigating the load determination using FE programs.
In this context, the following questions have arisen:
- Are there any specific notes or recommendations for modeling that I should consider for this application?
- Are there perhaps already existing documents, application examples, or recommendations on this topic?
The questions relate to the common standard cases (interior, edge, corner columns, wall ends, and corners).
Thank you in advance for your support.
Kind regards,
D. Backhaus
Hello dbackhaus,
we have three different options to determine the loads for punching shear.
Each method has model-dependent advantages, as does the choice of the beta factor for load increase.
I recommend you take a look at our manual for this.
► Durchstanzen | Tragfähigkeitskonfigurationen | EN 1992 | Bemessungsvorgaben | RFEM 6 / RSTAB 9 | Betonbemessung
Furthermore, here is an explanation of how to manually determine the internal forces using the example of a wall end.
► Ermittlung der Durchstanzlast an Wandenden und Wandecken in RF-STANZ Pro
Finally, there are also verification examples on our homepage; here is one of these examples.
