# Load combination

I am currently working with RFEM version 9.12.0008. However, in the **Load Combinations** section, the options "Edit" and "New Load Combination" are permanently inactive. The same problem also occurs in newly created models, so I am generally unable to use these functions. A screenshot is attached.

I would like to know what might be causing this.

Good day Mr. Hoffmann,

I have one more question about this. In my case, the option "Reduce number of generated combinations" is grayed out under Options II in the Combination Assistant. Why is that? Could it possibly be because I only purchased a trial version?

Thank you for your message! The trial version has no restrictions here.

To analyze the problem more precisely, the **model file** would be very helpful:

➡ Click on _File_ → _Save As_ and choose the following settings to reduce the file size:

➡ Then upload the file here (e.g. \*.rf6, \*.rs9) – this way the community can also contribute to the solution.
