Glass construction - proving impact resistance

Hello,

I am creating impact resistance of a glazing as a semester submission based on the following webinar: https://www.dlubal.com/de/support-und-schulungen/schulungen/videos/005682?srsltid=AfmBOopXrE3SG-eiYYCy2K9DDkrOnplWq7Ya4ZvuCMP9Vc93XZ6z0tw_

I have done everything, but I could not determine whether my glazing is impact-resistant or not? Am I supposed to carry out glass design for that?

Thank you in advance for your support.

Ali

Hello @Ali62,

In the webinar, the basic procedure for calculating the pendulum swing from the dynamics side was presented. A complete verification has unfortunately not yet been implemented in RFEM.
However, the requirements for this are described in DIN 18008-4 Annex C.
By complying with these specifications, a stress verification can then also be carried out in the AddOn.

Hello Mr. Lex, @ulrich.lex

Thank you very much for your feedback. I calculated analogously to the webinar, but a problem occurred. Error warning concerns LK3 - NLTH Pendulum Stroke Newmark - Nonlinear implicit Newmark analysis. Error warning 10794 - unsupported function in the nonlinear time history analysis on line(s) no. 1-4, error warning 10796 - unsupported function in the nonlinear time history analysis on surface no. 1, 10799 unsupported function in the nonlinear time history analysis.

What could be the cause of this problem?

I sincerely thank you in advance for your support.

Hello @Ali62,
I suspect that these are warnings described in the webinar at about 48:57 minutes.

Here, I would ask you to pay attention to the notes in the webinar.

Best regards
