Currently the top reinforcement is covered whole slab, but it isn’t necessary for the mid part of the slab as hogging moments are not there. So, I want to add it like 1 m width top reinforcement net around the perimeter of the slab (as hogging reinforcement). How do I add that instead of top reinforcement net?
And is there any way to check if any missing reinforcements are there except looking at the concrete design addon’s overview? or that’s the way to see that?

Hi,
I’m still confused how the following top reinforcement can be placed in it. The required reinforcement should not go to the end, it’s just hogging r/f so should end short, say 1/8 th the total length of the slab (the green line below).
I tried the guide link you provided. It shows, go to “types for concrete design –> surface r/f –> new surface r/f”.
But the problem is when I add a surface r/f it applies the top r/f to whole slab, how can we edit it to shorten the length of r/f?
The top reinforcement should be like this, reinforcement in outer perimeter but no reinforcement in the mid. (sorry about the drawing, I’m bad at drawing stuff)
Hi BigBoss,
thanks for coming back on that topic. You can use free surface reinforcement to manually define such areas:
