Good day,

In a current project, I need to carry out external buckling verifications after analytical formulas for overhead line construction with Dlubal. For this, I would like to use somewhat lower effective lengths than the structural height (beta=1.0) =\> my idea was therefore to use a linear stability analysis to determine the beta values =\> the problem that arises here is that I can only get the values for individual members and not for sets of members. ==\> Is there a way to output the effective length factors of the linear stability analysis for sets of members?

I would be very pleased to receive your feedback,

Best regards,

Nick Böttcher

Hello Nick,

no, unfortunately that is not possible.

As an alternative, instead of grouping multiple bars into a bar set, you could use a single bar as a bar set and use nodes of the type "On Bar" within this bar.

Thank you very much for the response,

fortunately, I was able to set kink lengths through other means.

However, a desirable feature in the long term would be to also evaluate rod segments =\> for example, if I had been forced to use the workaround you described, it would not only have been very laborious to remodel but also a big disadvantage for my visualizations and the ability to check, since my "support" of the provisional mast actually consists of many "series components" that are assembled on site, and I like to represent some of the different parts colorfully differently =\> I would then be forced to either give up the possibility of recognizing my individual components that together form a bending-stiff support or to forgo the stability analysis. It would be great if both could be done in the same model in the long run.

Best regards, Nick

Hello Nick,

I understand!

I will include this as a requested feature.

Best regards,
Matthias
