I generated 19 load cases for my model and want to create load combinations from them. Automatically, over 160,000 load combinations are generated, and creating all relevant ones manually is certainly a lot of work. Especially since I would have to create each load combination in the various design situations. My hope to limit the number of automatically generated load combinations through load relationships unfortunately did not work.
What would be the right/most sensible approach here?
I would really appreciate some help.

Hello @Pascal, and welcome to the Dlubal Community 👋,

Thanks for your question.

You can significantly reduce the number by using the **“Consider inclusive/exclusive load cases”** option. Go to _Load Cases & Combinations_ → the _Design Situations_ tab → _Options_. Check the box, then click the button next to it to open the _Load Case Relationship_ dialog.

**Exclusive load cases** are load cases that can never act simultaneously. Anything you enter in a row will never appear together in a combination. This has the greatest impact on reducing the number.

**Example from your model:** Wind always acts from only one direction. Without the appropriate setting, combinations are also generated in which LC3 to LC7 are applied simultaneously. If you define the five load cases as exclusive, only one of them will be considered at a time.
