RFEM 6.13 creates persistent folder in project directory

Hi everyone,

I am experiencing an issue with RFEM 6 version 6.13. Every time I run the program, it automatically creates a folder named "RFEM6_6.13" within my active project directory (where I store my model files). This folder contains subdirectories such as "configs" and remains there permanently, even after closing the software.

I have already tried to change the "Working Directory" path under Program Options & Settings, pointing it to a different location, but the issue persists. RFEM 6 continues to recreate this folder in my work directory even after I manually delete it.

Is there a specific setting to redirect these configuration files to a global AppData folder instead of the project-specific path? I would like to keep my work directories clean and avoid these persistent configuration folders.

Any guidance on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated.

Hi arscaribe,

I have not yet heard about any similar report. Did you adjust the working directory in RFEM settings?

It will not be easy to identify the reason. Mainly the folder you mention should be created once in the set working directory:

Please try consider removing RFEM 6 completely and try a new installation.
