Hi all!
Done some research into the documentation about changing consequences class (KFI) within the base_data's standards. RFEM itself has options within the standard (EN 1990), providing 1.00 CC2, 0.9 CC1 and 1.1 CC3. As far as I can see, the API doesn't allow this to be changed. If this is actually possible I'd really appreciate some directions on how to do it successfully using C#, and if it's not - it's an important feature that our application really needs to allow automation of loads and results.
Thanks sincerely.
Hi JamesSolar,
one of the best ways to understand the API is to create a simple example project in the UI which contains the needed inforamtions. Then you can use Generating Example Files for Using Objects in API (gRPC) to get the Python code for this project. Even it is Python only it will bring you on the right track.
If it doesn't work this way please provide me with the simple example project and I will have a look into it.
Best regards

Hi Rob,
Update on this - I followed your suggestion and exported two identical projects as Python scripts (File => Export => Python Script | Dlubal API | gRPC), one with the default CC2 and one with CC1 (KFI 0.9) selected in the UI.
The two files were exactly the same - changing the consequences class in the UI made no difference to anything in the export. The standards section only contains the national annex selection, and nothing in the script relates to the consequence class or the KFI factors at all.
This matches what we found digging through the API itself (Dlubal.Api 2.15.2, C#): the consequence class has no representation anywhere - not in the standards, not in the design settings. The only KFI in the entire API is an optional factor on individual loads within generated combinations, and it comes back unset when the default applies. This remained true for an export of two full generated models with CC1 and CC2, and also the same files but with the models stripped, just the load cases/base_data which are relevant.
So as far as we can tell, the API can't read or change the consequence class (0.9 CC1, 1.0 CC2, 1.1 CC3) - we can only inspect the KFI factors that end up on the loads. It's a feature we'd really need for automating loads and results, so if possible could it be raised as a feature request?
Thanks sincerely.
Hi JamesSolar,
sorry for the late response.
To analyse the problem more precisely, the model file would be very helpful:
Click on File → Save as and choose the following settings to reduce the file size:
Then upload the file here (e.g. *.rf6, *.rs9) – this way, the community can also contribute to the solution.
Prefer not to share the file publicly? No problem – send it to me via direct message: click on my profile picture or user name → Message.
Best regards

I'll send the example files I spoke about through direct message. Thank you!
Hi JamesSolar,
unfortunately this settings are not available at the moment. I created a request (RUS ID = 6933), and have added you as an interested party, so you will be informed about any progress about this topic.
Best regards
