I am currently working with RFEM version 9.12.0008. However, in the Load Combinations section, the options "Edit" and "New Load Combination" are permanently inactive. The same problem also occurs in newly created models, so I am generally unable to use these functions. A screenshot is attached.
I would like to know what might be causing this.

To access this feature, you need to activate it first in the Combination Assistant.

I have one more question about this. In my case, the option "Reduce number of generated combinations" is grayed out under Options II in the Combination Assistant. Why is that? Could it possibly be because I only purchased a trial version?

Thank you for your message! The trial version has no restrictions here.
To analyze the problem more precisely, the model file would be very helpful:
Click on File → Save As and choose the following settings to reduce the file size:
Then upload the file here (e.g. *.rf6, *.rs9) – this way the community can also contribute to the solution.
