FE-Beul cross-sections not available

Hello everyone,

I have a quick question: I want to design a dent panel with a longitudinal stiffener in FE-Beul. The longitudinal stiffener should be designed as a square hollow section. However, I cannot select any square hollow sections in the program... Is this correct, or do you need a different version for that?

Welcome to the Dlubal Community! :blush:

FE-BEUL offers a predefined selection of stiffeners. These are:

  • Flat steel

  • Bulged flat steel

  • Angle

  • T-stiffener

  • Trapezoidal stiffener

  • Rolled profiles (L, T, U)

Unfortunately, square hollow sections are not supported. Furthermore, the question arises as to how a square hollow section can be effectively connected as a longitudinal stiffener with the buckling panel.
