Formulas in User-defined Limit Stress values of Line Welded Joint (addon-stress-strain)

Dear Dlubal Community,

I usually work on models that I have to check the weld resistance according to EC3 and for that I’m using the Lined Weld Joint feature of Stress-Strain analysis add-on.

As this add-on doesn´t define the weld resistance, I’m calculating the resistance value in Global Parameters depending on the steel material properties defined on the model.

Then I have to manually define the calculated weld resistance in the User-defined Limit Stress of the Line Welded Joint Configuration. In case I later change the steel class (for example from S275 to S355) I have to remember to also update the values again in the Line Welded Joint Configuration.

So, my request is that we could define the Limit Stress values from the Line Welded Joint Configuration with a formula, and with that I can directly refer this values to the previously calculated Global Parameters.

Hello @joao.vaz_jvStruct :waving_hand:,

I understand your use case, and I will submit a request to our development department for further review.

If you have any more questions or need additional information on this topic, feel free to ask!

Best regards,
Fabian
