I would like to import the deformed FE mesh back into Grasshopper for an iterative calculation. Currently, I only see the option of manual export as .dxf. Is an implementation in GH planned?

You are right, this is currently the only option. However, a corresponding implementation is already planned, and the first development steps are underway.
