Imported RFEM 5 model misses surfaces in RFEM 6

I opened a RFEM 5.28.03 model in RFEM 6.11.0011, but certain surfaces per floor seem to miss. It doesn't seem random, because each floor misses the same surfaces.

In RFEM 5 the surfaces are plain and orthotropic with realistic values. As of now I can't seem to find a difference between the surfaces that do appear in RFEM 6 and those who don't.

Originally I received a warning message stating: "Wind Loads: Not yet supported types of objects were not loaded". I deleted the wind loads in RFEM 5, which made this warning disappear when opening the model again in RFEM 6.

Something I did notice is that every surface that did load in in RFEM 6 has its own stiffness matrix for "Thickness with Material"

What steps could I undertake to also get the missing surfaces?

Hi D.Eggenkamp,

Welcome to our community

To analyse the problem more precisely, the RFEM 5 model file would be very helpful.

Hi Sivolgin,

I would love to share my file with you, but this needs to be done private unfortunately. However, I don't seem to find the private messaging option following your instructions. Maybe I'm not fully awake yet, but I will add screenshots to show you what I'm seeing.

Thanks for your help!

Kind regards,

It seems to be an issue with the generated nodes from the line releases in RFEM 5. If you check the lines from the invalid surfaces in RFEM 6, you will see some nodes that have been assigned wrong, which are causing boundary lines that are not closed. Deleting your line releases in RFEM 5 will import all surfaces into RFEM 6. Assigning new line releases is much faster in RFEM 6, as you can assign them to different lines at once.
Hope this will solve your problem

Best regards
