I'm finding it hard to mesh my model with different mesh size without distortion
Hi Chukwudalu,
did you change the default settings for the mesh quality? If yes, can you share a screenshot of them? If no, please share your model file (without results) so I can take a closer look.
Yes I changed the default mesh quality. My aspect ratio was changed to 1 and 2 for warning and failure value likewise my Jacobian ratio, my corner angle also 60-90 for triangle while square is 90-120. Overall I was aiming for a square mesh and equal size of triangle
Thanks for you reply, to control meshing in rfem5 is a big challenge for me
I see. If you want to apply such strict meshing rules, I think it's best to integrate lines into the surface:
You just draw a line that lies in the plane of the surface and activate this option in the mesh settings:
Then the line becomes a constraint for the FE mesh.
Your maximum diagonal ratio is set to 1.8 but in my own is 1. I'm trying to define square mesh element. Let me send you a picture of what I want to implement in rfem5
The above picture has a different mesh size
I know. 1.8 is the default setting of RFEM 5. I just wanted to show you the necessary option.
Thanks for the image but I can hardly see any details. Could you please provide the image in a higher resolution?
