Interpretation of messages in the Aluminum Design module (EN 1999)

Good morning,

I am preparing a design project for an aluminum tent hall as part of my engineering thesis. I am calculating the model in the RFEM program. I have modeled the entire hall and am also sending the RFEM 6 file as an attachment (without results to reduce the file size). After completing the calculations, I went to "Aluminum Structure Design" - "Overview" - and generally received 4 messages there. Two of them concerned auxiliary bars (hinge-hinge) on the support surfaces. The other two concerned the claddings – does this error mean that the program cannot calculate the load transfer surface in these claddings? Because it seems to me that I can easily fix these errors, but I am not sure how.

Thank you for any help <3

Hello GMAdrian000,

I have reviewed your model and calculated the aluminum structure. The error messages you see in the overview relate to:

  1. Auxiliary bars with hinge-hinge – these are not actively considered in the aluminum design.

  2. Load transfer surfaces in the claddings – these surfaces are not taken into account for the design, as they do not represent directly designable load transfer elements.

Therefore, the messages are for informational purposes only and do not affect the structural calculation and further design.

Alternatively, you can also exclude these elements from the design under "objects to be designed" in the input data, then these messages will no longer appear.

I hope this answer helps you.
