Load path with beam panels and beam-column system

Hello,

I am modelling a beam-column system supporting beam panels in RFEM 6. The rest of the model is also defined using beam panels and I did not observe unexpected behavior elsewhere.

However, in this area the results suggest that the loads from the beam panels are being shared between the panel beams and the main beams of the beam-column system, and part of the load appears to transfer directly to the columns instead of passing through the beams. In addition, there is a region where it appears that no load from the beam panel is transferred to the main beams or to the columns.

The main beams were modelled along the lines defining the global surfaces of the beam panels.

Is there any specific modelling recommendation in RFEM 6 to ensure that the loads from the beam panels transfer first to the panel beams and then to the main beams before reaching the columns?

I am attaching screenshots of the model and the internal force diagrams for reference.
Please note that I am performing this check only for self-weight.
Thank you.

Hello Mariana,
by default, all linked objects behave like rigidly connected components.
To define that certain forces should not be transmitted, you can define joints or releases.

Alternatively, you can model with a minimal offset, for example "1mm gap" in between. This then really is a clean separation of the components.
