Could you please clarify how the two limit stresses for tension are calculated?
σx,t,limit
σv,t,limit
Is there any documentation describing the calculation or derivation of these two parameters?

Also, how are σx,t,limit and σv,t,limit related to the material parameters fxk1 and fxk2?

actually we do not exactly offer this information yet in the manual. The limit stresses are linked to f_vk0. For unfilled head joint, it is calculated as follows:

sigma_x,t,limit = 0.5 · f_vk0 / y_m

sigma_y,t,limit = 0.5 · 2/3 · f_vk0 / y_m

I have one follow-up question: Why are the tensile limit stresses linked to the shear strength f_vk0, rather than to the tensile/flexural strength parameters f_xk1 and f_xk2 provided in the standard?

Is there any literature, standard reference, or theoretical background that explains the reasoning behind this approach?

I’m not an expert in masonry design, so I’m mainly asking because I would like to better understand the background.
