No results in "Results by Surface in Mesh Nodes" table

I have no results in Results by Surface in Mesh Nodes and get an info Ther eare no grid points in the surface

Is this expected? Is it really necessary to have Grid for results.. turned on to retrive results in Mesh Nodes in table ?

Unfortunately, yes, it looks like this is a bug. I've already created a bug report for this issue (ID: 585130).
