Is there a way to model residual stresses explicitly in RFEM?
I am currently looking into steel frames and would like to represent geometric imperfections and residual stresses separately, rather than accounting for both through equivalent imperfections.
Has anyone worked with this before, or can point me to a suitable approach in RFEM?

currently, this is not possible within RFEM. Would you have an example for its consideration within a FEM model. I would be glad to add this possibility as a New Feature Request with further Information.

Thank you for your quick reply.
The reason I am asking is that EN 1993-1-14:2025 explicitly allows geometric imperfections and residual stresses to be treated separately.
My thought is that modelling the system in this way could provide a more accurate representation of the structural behaviour, while also avoiding some of the conservatism associated with equivalent imperfections. That is why I was interested in exploring whether this could be done in RFEM.
