I am modelling a cross-section of a church for my thesis to conduct a linear numerical analysis. I have set up my load cases, and the software generated load combinations based on Eurocode. I am comparing the results to the damage I have observed on-site, so I was hoping to set up a result combination that would show me the envelope results. When I analyzed the results, I noticed that within the vaults (near the connection to the walls), there is negative normal forces/stress, but in the result combination, it does not show the negative values. I have attached screenshots to show this phenomenon. How should I set up my result combination to see both the positive and negative extremes in the envelope?
My result combination includes permanent and transient loads (ULS, DS1) and is general. For the assignment, I included all ULS load combinations and set the operator to "or". Other than that, I made no changes from the default.
Yes, the file is different, sorry about that! However I believe the results show the same thing. Is there any reason why the result combination doesn't show the compressive forces visually on the vaults? In this scenario, it is easy to use the load combinations for reporting because they are similar, but if I were to have a more complex model, I would want the result combination to show results that are consistent with what I was seeing in the load combinations.
