Rigid link stiffness

Hello,

I really like the new Rigid Link modelling in RFEM6. However, it would be very helpful to be able to change the stiffness of the links to, for example, compression only. Would be very helpful in bolt modelling for shell elements.

Thank you and best regards.

Hello _lobo,
thank you very much for your positive feedback on the new rigid-link modeling in RFEM 6, we are very pleased about that.

An adjustment of the stiffness to, for example, only compression is basically possible, but not for the shown variant of the rigid coupling.

With the coupling type line–line you can define line hinges or alternatively represent almost any stiffness ratios via rigid bars with bar end hinges.
By defining nonlinearities, among other things, a load-bearing behavior exclusively under compression or tension or a corresponding failure can be taken into account.
