Stresses at result nodes

Hello everyone,

I have a problem with the output of stresses at result points.

I want to evaluate the stresses at result points on a four-point sail. The points are each located centrally in the local x- or y-direction at a distance of 0.80 m. These result points should be output in the print report. Since there is a large number of load combinations, manually reading the values is unfortunately not an option.

When I export the print report to Excel and filter by the result points, the results for the points in the local y-direction are only output from the edge up to the third-to-last point before the center. For the remaining points, the message appears instead:

"The result value at the point is not defined."

I have already tried slightly shifting the affected result points from the centerline – unfortunately without success.

Does anyone have an idea what could be causing this behavior or how the problem can be solved? I would be very grateful for any tip, as I need to complete the evaluation promptly.

Hi neje1011,

I have looked at your model but could not find any entries in the print protocol containing the message “The result value at the point is not defined”.

However, when starting the calculation, I noticed that a large part of the result combinations refer to non-existent load combinations.

  • RC1 and RC2 refer to existing load combinations.

  • All other result combinations seem to refer to non-existent load combinations.

Is this the same for you? This might already explain why some result values are missing.

Could you also please describe in more detail how you arrived at the table shown in the screenshot? Currently, I suspect the following procedure:

  1. Export of print protocol 2 as HTML

  2. Opening the HTML file in Excel

  3. Applying the corresponding filters

Is the message “The result value at the point is not defined” displayed for the affected cells even without applied filters in the Excel table?

Hello Niklas,

I deleted most of the load combinations for uploading the file so as not to exceed the maximum data size. In doing so, I forgot to delete the associated result combinations.

I reached the table in the screenshot exactly as you described.

Even without the filter set, the message "The result value at the point is not defined" is displayed.

I recreated the result points again today and now it worked.
I can't say what the problem was.
