Hello everyone,
I am currently modeling a timber panel wall with a large opening. According to Colling and Janßen (Bracing of Timber Panel Buildings), I need ribs at the height of the lintel, horizontal distribution ribs, so that I can account for the panels above and below the opening and, unlike in the Eurocode, consider the entire wall.
To verify my manual calculation, I would like to model it exactly the same way. I have inserted a beam member at the height of the lintel, integrated the corresponding lines into the surface, and now want to connect this with the sheathing (rigid coupling). Unfortunately, various error messages keep appearing about intersecting points and lines and finally "The projection line is not integrated into the surface."
Can anyone help me with this, or does this function (still?) not exist?

Hi Valle_S,
I took a look at your model. 
I noticed that the lines of the reinforcement beam you created, which lie within the sheathing areas, are not integrated into these areas. For example, line 777 is not integrated into area 28. This can also be seen by double-clicking on the area → tab "Integrated." The corresponding line numbers are missing here. I also noticed that automatic object detection is disabled in this window. Did you make this setting, and if so, for what reason?
