The timber structure has built up column sections in the y-axis the beam is continuous throughout the column and in the x-axis there are 6.8 meters long timber beams resting on the y-axis beams. What should be the hinge conditions of x-axis beams? When it is modelled as rotation-free pin ends the structure becomes unstable. When 1 beam is considered as rigid, it's analyzed as stable. There is a real-life example for the structure, it doesn’t have any braces or timber frame walls. Please help me with fixing the unstable structure problem.
Hi Plshelpmybf,
a warm welcome to you. We are pleased that you are part of the Dlubal community.
To solve the problem with the unstable model, I need the RFEM file. Please upload it here. Alternatively, you can also send me a private message with the file.

Hi,
the edges of the OSB plate should not be modelled without any hinge. Right now the plate of 15mm thickness is giving the structure it`s stability. This is not possible for timber structures.
This structure requires braces in the horizontal and vertical beams.
I attached an example where I added braces on specific points. Again just as an example.
