For surface elements, it's very easy to set the preferred shape of the finite elements (triangles or quadrilaterals) in RFEM 6.
The menu for solid bodies looks completely different. I can't find an option for tetrahedra or hexahedra here...
Is there also a setting for the shape of finite elements for solid elements?

Thank you very much for your message. There are no such settings for solid elements.
You can set the mesh density for a solid and layer the mesh. Here is an excerpt from the online manual on this topic:
