Just small question please, How to define weld for surfaces which are parallel to each other?
and what is the best or accurate properties here, as any change of these properties, it affects totally the results.

and for these two paraller surfaces when we create line welds between them, so this is enough for contact surface? or should be also add "contact surface" between these two parallel surfaces?

You can define a Lap Joint for parallel surfaces. You can find an example here:

The properties in the “Special Options” tab are for controlling the smoothing of the stresses, which allows you to distribute stress peaks over the weld length. You can find some recommendations in the knowledge-base article for the shown example. In general, these settings depend on what you want to inspect and the actual design of your connection.
The definition of line welds does not affect the determination of internal forces, so a contact surface is necessary if you want to control the forces transferred between the surfaces.

Thanks so much, your reply is very helpful and answered all the questions. But one more thing if these two parallel surfaces are spaced with each other, not in one plan. I think then it will not be possible to create this weld?. The requirement of welding is that these should be on one plane, isnt it?
Since RFEM 6.14.0001, it is possible to define Line weld connections also between surfaces that do not share a common line(not in one plane), if the surfaces are connected with a rigid coupling:

So it works only on this version, as I am trying to do it on my version 6.12 and I couldn't do it.
