It is not possible to define a result point in a random location on a surface. The program allows to snap to the surface "contour" line which is not even surface edge. After placing point, the coordinates should be changed manually to have desired location. Am I doing anything wrong?
Hello @pavel
,
Result points cannot be defined graphically in a wireframe model, where surfaces are only represented by their contours.
For more detailed information, please refer to the online manual on the Dlubal website:

Wow, that’s a simple solution ![]()
I have another question related to result control.
Is there any way to perform simple calculations with the results of different nodes directly inside the RFEM interface?
For example, I’d like to calculate the tilt of a foundation, which can be determined from the deformation values of two predefined nodes. Is there a tool — maybe something like a monitor — where I can define a custom formula (e.g. Δz₁–Δz₂ / distance) and even compare it with a limit value?
